Okay, so there was a dude on Gladiators tonight who said he had been on Western Bulldogs and Geelong AFL lists.

I cant recall him and my research fails to find him either.

Was he talking crap?

Sounds like me telling this chick in Melbourne I was on the Dockers rookie list when I was partying hard at the Tunnel nightclub on the eve of the 1996 GF. It probably helped that I was hanging out with Daniel Bandy and Shaun McManus (knew McManus through Willetton juniors). Scored me a little horizontal action for the night

No he wasn't talking crap. There were articles about him having cancer at the time, probably around 94-95 or something? Also remember him once being on a footy show that used to be on Saturday during the day. Don't think he played a senior game IIRC.

Royal Gladiator Thursday, 24 April 2008

Shaun Baxter a 2002 East Perth Premiership player and cancer survivor is set to star in channel 7's Gladiator. Shaun played 12 games for the Club in 2002 after being drafted by Footscray in 1994. During his time at the club he kicked 9 goals, the most famous of all being in the 2002 Grand Final when he stormed down the ground to kick the first goal of the game. This was worth mention considering he was playing full back at the time.

Tune into Gladiators this Sunday night at 6:30 to see how Shaun goes Wulff Cleared of Striking Charge Monday, 21 April 2008 [FONT=tahoma,arial,helvetica,sans-serif] Craig Wulff has had his striking charge withdrawn from the weekends match meaning he is eligible for selection next week to play East Fremantle.

The club thanks Paul Litherland, who is the clubs official camera man for providing key evidence (proving Wulff didn't make contact with the opponents head) assisting greatly in getting this charge withdrawn

AFL star is a bit of a stretch, but Shaun did play 2nds at the Bulldogs, and probably would have played seniors if not for his medical problems.
