What a joke. Had Confectioner 3 wide the whole way. Then tried to come back inside after going wide and got caught in traffic.

Absolute Disgrace.

i totally agree,i had my hard earned on it , and you could see the way he hunted it up after the start it was always going to be 3 wide.by the way , i am a fan of d.beasley in sydney , but should never be allowed to ride in melbourne again , i backed one horse he was on , and he pulled him back from the start,it took him a 100 meters to realise that the field had put on a fast speed,result being his , and my horse were 5 lengths last after 100.

Was that Xaar Xaar? Terrible ride and cost it victory as the horse ran on strongly to just miss the placings.

I've lost plenty of money on him from his poor rides in Sydney.
 
I haven't backed a horse that Shane Dye has ridden for years. And I never will either.
 
shane dye, i have never backed a horse he has ridden because i think the guy is a complete weasil. i am only 19 and still learning the punting game so could someone tell me the horse and the story that dye rode to have so many people hating him? i have been told the story many times but cant remember it. i dont like the guy because he is so full of himself...he should be a boxer the amount of trash he talks.

yeah? is there anywhere on the internet i could see this race? id be interested in having a look? he is a real clown though, i dont know why he wouldnt stay over in hong kong or whereever he was riding, isnt the prize money better over there? or is it that know one knows him over there!

And it resulted in one of the greatest quotes of all time from JB Cummings wo when asked if Veandercross could run the 3200 Metres of the Melbourne Cup replied "he ran that in the Caulfield Cup" :D

i backed spinning hill cox plate day last year and was there to watch him ridden beautifully to win easily.
 
Caulfield is introducing a new dish for it's Members Dining Room. It's called the Shane Dye. You order the most expensive meal on the menu, and they put it three tables away so you can't eat it.

I rate him very highly in Europe and very lowly here!!!!

Correct me if I am wrong but Spinning Hill is his only winner in Australia from about 20 + rides.

My punting friend's great betting system is to treat the mounts of international jocks as scratchings.

It seems to have a great strike rate!!!!!!
 
Frankie also won a race Cup Day on a mare of Jim Conlan's a few years back.
Cant remember its name,any help lads?
Led all the way from memory,no surprise there.

As for Confectioner,it wasnt great but the horse ran way below his best too.
