When will; he come in. bloke is too good for VFL and with the poor form (exception of sunday) of the struggling dees. surely he must be going to be promoted and play soon. he is what they need, Jones is providing nothing and their really arent many other in and under type players apart from Brock Mclean and James McDonald really,

Just wondering what they Demons fans thoughts on this subject.

Can't see it happening this year.

In terms of a midfield spot he'd still be behind Buckley, Yze, C Johnson, Petterd and probably a couple more. Has to make sure he keeps up his form with Sandy.

Are you serious? If you are your an idiot.

He had one bad game. And obviously that's the only time you've watched him this year....

he will come in about half way through the season (maybe a bit later) when yze and holland hang up their boots i think

I may be wrong, but i'm 99% sure you can't elevate a rookie if someone retires, (because that's voluntary), rookies are effectively emergencies that can only be elevated when someone is placed on the long term injury list (involuntary).

Based on that, we're unlikely to see valenti play seniors this year unless there is another major injury, and even then they might use that to keep aussie on our senior list.

But you'd think with solid sandy form for the rest of the year he'd get elevated to the senior list anyway.

I can't see him getting a game any time soon.

There is a reason he hasn't been elevated for Neitz yet. Jack Grimes is apparently very close to his return, so Ozzie will just transfer to Neitz's spot.

Go watch Jones's game against Brisbane and tell me he provides nothing. I can't think of many twenty year-olds who'd be able to overcome Crowley's scragging.

i don't think we'll see shane get elevated either unless we have a retirement... as has already been said, aussie will take neita's spot when grimes comes back onto the senior list, probably after the next game...

really looking forward to seeing shane get a go though, think he could become a really good player...

Its looking ever increasingly as though we won't see him until next year, another preseason under his belt, can anyone else see a Priddis-like impact on the league?

The kid is a gun!!

If anyone watched the nab cup game against Geelong, he battled hard against bigger bodies all day.

Has been consistent since debuting at Sandy, played State Game last year and should line up in the centre again this year. Melbourne wouldnt be any worse having a few Sandy midfielders running around the in the red and blue..

I thought he was unlucky to miss to Aussie but has since been proved wrong.. Valenti is a ball magnet and centre clearence specialist exactly what our midfield needs.. I dont want to wish a injury on anyone but if Holland or Yze go down I wouldnt mind if it meant young Valenti had a spot on our senior list

For what has been a deadset rubbish team for most of the year it's amazing that we have this guy as a backup who even if he wasn't rookied would be struggling to get a game considering that on their day McLean, Jones and Moloney are very good inside midfielders. I think Shane would be the type of bloke who understands the situation and will just keep dominating at Sandy. A Priddis situation could be a reality because he has been too good for too long in the VFL like Priddis was in the WAFL and when he gets his chance he could make an immediate impact.

Well we already have McLean, McDonald and Jones who are all very good clearance players so i don't think we really need anymore.....

Valenti will take over for McDonald when he hangs up the boots.

Im tipping you will all see young Valenti in the red & the blue sooner than you think. ;)

You need someone on the LTI list other than Neitz because of Wonaeamirri. When Neitz comes back even Wonaeamirri will not be able to play. Don't wish another LTI.
