If you do nonimate yourself, it lasts for three years.

He won a brownlow because he had an awsome season and he was at his peak in a team of not so great players, hence votes were easy to come by. (were you old enough to see him Marty clark) yes he fell to pieces after that but dont they all. Anyway i guess you havnt responded because your currentlyu reading the rules of the draft.

I recall reading on the draft board a little while ago about this process. It seems that the top prospects have their papers organised by the clubs. The ones on the fringes with some chance of getting drafted send in an application form. The same process applies for VFL players, etc. too. I think they get the papers from the AFL and then they get assigned a draft number.

Correct me if I'm wrong though.

All TAC Cup players fill out the draft registraion forms, mainly in their final year of TAC Cup footy (the freaks at 17 years of age the only exceptions).

There nomination for the draft lasts for three years (please take note Marty Clarke).

When I was younger clubs were talking to me and I nominated for the draft. I think the appeal with this for the old guys is that the AFL sends you a nice Official Confirmation Letter looking very much like an achievement certificate. I once read that some old fat geezer nominated so that he could hang over his bar!

Either that or they've been watching some sports dvd's where the old timer gets a crack at the big time! Like that one with Marky Mark...

Sorry i was probably a bit young when he played for Collingwood but why was he dropped and why wouldnt any other club pick him up? Surely he would have been better then some of Carltons players

I also thought Woey was stiff to be axed when he was. At the same time, O'Bree was shocking, probably at his worst, and I thought if it wasn't for Woey, O'Bree would've have been under the pump.

I think Woey's first two years were great, maybe because he was trying to prove Melbourne wrong, but then went down fast.

He had a terrible attitude towards playing football at Collingwood. I met him at a Collingwood sponsors function in Sydney at the beginning of his second season with the Pies. I had been talking with him for about ten minutes regaring a common friend we have in Andrew Leoncelli. We had been discussing how the cultures were different between the 2 Melbourne and the Pies and I said something along the lines of "when your with the Pies football is everything".

He took the comment badly and arked up at me saying things like No football is just one part of my life. I explained how I understood family was paramount in peoples lives... but that goes without saying. When you follow the Pies all your life and from a supporters point of view have been around the club for so long that you realise the passion that "our family" has towards each other and our club is second to none. he continued with his "F*** you" attitude. I had to walk away from him in the end.

Spent the rest of the function mingling with the other players all of which seemed to be genuine good blokes (Didak was a standout).

I was glad to see Collingwood get rid of him. He was a brownlow medalist at melbourne and they got rid of him (says it all really).

mates that used to train at Lexus centre used to always say he was in there just working on abs. lol Dont know how much of that is true but they where there a bit at the time.

I don't think he names himself again.I think that when an ex player nominates for the draft he can stay listed for 3 years?Correct me if i'm wrong.So i think that he nominated a year ago,his name stays on the list for 2 more years if the player hasn't been picked up,that's why he is listed.

Like many of his ex Melbourne team mates, Woewodin was a good player in a good side but lacked the ability to play the game when the chips were down. Thats why we picked him up, to top off our midfield in a grand final side.

It would be funny if he went from retiring to being drafted, it'd make for an interesting interview on draft day. Though as for him being an idiot, only an idiot doesn't read the full article before calling someone else an idiot.
