This has only just started happening in the last 2 weeks and I'm buggered igf I know what to do. For the previous 18 months everything was fine.
I have a motorola modem that goes into a d-link router.
I never have any problem using my home computer with this set up.
I also have a work laptop that needs internet access to link up to my work network. Up until 2 weeks ago I could access the internet with no problem however now for whatever reason it refuses to let me - only on my work laptop.
I have troubleshooted the following to find out the source of the problem.
* Borrowed another work laptop. Didn't work on that either.
* Plugged worklap directly into modem (bypassing wireless router). Unsuccessful.
From the above I can conclude that it is not a laptop issue nor is it a wireless issue.
* Tried to access the internet (wireless) from work laptops at another network (mates place). No problem.
* Then accessed my work network at mates place. No problem.
Okay - so its not my work profile. I thought that somehow work had disabled my work from home access but this is obviously not the issue.
When I do try at home - my router appears in the wireless connections however it simply won't let me connect.
My home PC however connects with no problem at all.
What do I need to do here. My home PC is running Windows Vista.
Help !!!!!!
