Shaw can't kick!

Shaw has shown he is a capable player this year,and has exited us collingwood fans with his new football.But while we were admiring him early on in the season a flaw in his game seemed to slip through the cracks ,his kicking. He hasnt got a left foot and is always kicking from right to left.He struggles to centre the ball when on his left side so instead elects to kick wide to the flanks. Dont get me wrong he has been good this year,ive just noticed this and see it as a minor problem he can overcome.

For some reason not many of our players have good opposite foot skills. Shaw is a decent but not great kick as a rule. What he has got that we despirately lack is pace. Most of our best footballers are Richie Richardson fodder.

If you're getting this from Saturday night's game, no one could kick then.

He can kick, just not left footed. How many times do you see him charging down the left hand side wing and kicking inside-out drop punts on his right foot? Think Saturday night was just a one off.

He can kick. Fortunately he has the kicking skills and pace of his dad, not his uncle. In the first half last week nobody could hit the side of a barn door.

Come on people shall we open the second eye? Shaw has a problem with his kicking and i am not a ****,i didnt just base this observation on 1 game.I also see the way he kicks at traing,He has great pace though.Good hands and a toughness i didnt think he had is looming.He is a jet,but like most there is room for improvement

It has to be assessed. Shaw can get the ball, can he kick? I have listened to your bitching about his kicking and i have to agree.
He carries the ball to the side where he has to use his left. come on Shawy, use your brain and just improve your opposite foot.
