Hip replacement, shoulder reconstruction; the guy deserves a rest for a long time from coaching. I hear a warmer climate is good for arthritis too.

he accidently ran into Dean Soloman at training the other day. Noting unusual about that.

Was Solomon running into him really an accident?
Not saying it wasn't (most likely was).

But do you think players might sometimes want to find a way to square up with a coach?

It wouldn't be such a great idea. I imagine the coach would always get to have the last laugh on that one!

Maybe Sheeds should take the year off too with the rest of the injured squad and come back refreshed for 2007 and let G O'D coach

Solomon's a protected species so it matters not if it was deliberate.

Sheedy might not get a chance to break his personal losing sequence for a while. Could this be 1/1 from GO'D just like Chris Connolly in 2001?

So does this mean Sheedy got his revenge and Solly got the flick? Perahps a message to all Essendon listed players - don't run into Sheedy or else!!!

I think the message is more like "Don't play like a hack (Bolton and Henneman excluded) or else"

You could have a point if Solly wasn't first offered a contract.

I think the message is if you have a bad year form wise and age isn't on your side, don't expect any favours when it comes to contract negotiations.

Sheedy for PM straight after his career at EFC.That will make him about 74 i rekon;)

PM or Pope?

Its scary to think what Sheeds wiil do wth him self after coaching AFL.
Maybe he will just coach AusKick and open the "Kevin Sheedy School for Young Champion Footballers Who Barrack for Essendon".

Could be our recruiting manager till his 102:)

I can't wait for the "cycle of fear" to turn in Sheeds favour once again about rd 10 next year. Dons will be near the top, going well, and every man and his dog will be praising The Great Man:thumbsu:......or would you rather John Longmire or Chris Bond replace him.......?????????

Sheedy leaving next year will be like the feeling you get taking a breath of fresh air after working down a mine shaft all day, or smelling the roses at Flemington after backing Delta Blues at 18/1.

Chris Bond, played a lot of games for Richmond, hmmm.

Bit ambitious there Sawxy, although Worsfold, another untried coach nearly had 2 in 5 years.

wouldn't have a problem appointing an untried, when the time is definately right

Sheedy certainly deserves our backing through '07, another poor year and it might be time to move on
