What happens if Sheedy doesn't come over and Harvey goes to coach Essendon? Who do Freo look at?

Secondly, you are falling for the trap of "1 player / person" from the outside will completely fix our club.

It was pointless in the way he meant it i.e. "look at Freo putting all their eggs in the one basket hahaha".

The way i read it he asked who else we would be looking at if sheeds and harvey arent here. Onto his second point, half the posts on here are about how successful we will be when/if sheedy will comes here which is why he commented on the 1 player/person to fix the club.

It is a pointless question because it is one that is bloody obvious. If we cant get Harvey or Sheeds then we will look all the other coaches in the mix. Examples, Daniher, Pagan, Blight, Ayers, McKenna, Laidley, Longmire, Voss...etc etc etc.

It may be an obvious one but he may just want to know who we think would be here instead of sheedy and harvey. Didnt think it was too hard a question.

Sheedy would not tolerate the rubbish that gets dished out by the Perth media as well.

I can hear his words from his first press conference, " ah the Martians are yabbering ", " you press are just like a flock of seagulls ".

Good idea to look at Sheeds, what about Sheed and Harvey together ( manager + game day coach ) ?.

I cant see any reason why Harvey would want to coach under or with Sheedy again. If Harvey is going to take a head coaching job he must do it without Sheedys help.

Can't believe the tone of this thread. Fremantle do not need Sheedy. There are plenty of younger , fresher men about who would be a better choice than Sheeds. Unfortunately you can rule out Neale Daniher as I think he is a near cert to go to Essendon.

You got that right, there has never been a better time for Freo to be looking for a new coach. Geez there are a few premierships/grand finals between those coaches.

you're very fortunate, because you've got some good playing stocks.

sheedy for example, does not want to risk his legacy at a rebuilding club (unless he does think he can walk on water), if he's going to add a final chapter you'd want it to be at a club with cattle.

same for all available coaches. no one wants to end up like wallet.

similar to blight coming to Adelaide in 1997, plenty of pressure, but a lot of material to work with.

you're certainly an attractive option to a prospective coach
