Why should the board decide if sheedy stays or goes, all they do is take money from the club, shouldnt it be up to the players supporters and members to vote?? after all without them the club goes nowhere! i for one think that he should be given at least a 2 year contract, the current squad we have is not great but at least they have been competitive this year ! kids like davey jetta monfries hislop ryder dempsey are starting to develop give him time to work with them like the 93 side it will come. Let him leave when he wants to go he will know when its time. Sign him up now dont sack him because people say its time for a change! thats crap. GO SHEEDS! Got my vote

Board members (including the President) don't get paid.

shouldnt it be up to the players

If the players want him to remain, they'll prove it on the field. They are about the only group of stakeholders at the club that can have a say in whether Sheedy stays (board aside).

The members vote in the board, who ultimately make the decision.
The board is voted in by the members, to act on their behalf.

Do you really believe it would be sensible to put this in the hands of supporters ?

I believe Kevin Sheedy should be reappointed. I also accept that it is the job of the elected committee to decide whether Kevin willl be supported.

Most supporters of Essendon will want Sheed's to stay. Whether or not it is the right thing to do is another matter.
