It seems listening to his manager that the only criteria sees Sherman playing in Melbourne.

Said definitely No to Sydney move they offered Brisbane 21 and 1.6M over 4 years, wants the Bulldogs who have offered something like pick 28.

Any value to us ?

Too Expensive ?

Have we got a package they would accept ??

In more detail:
Sherman is a relatively good player, leaving Brisbane as part of the exodus. Is a quick half-forward that never took the leap into the midfield fully, having played badly when positioned there. Would add midfield depth and a half-forward option. Is on a ridiculously pricey package for a player his quality. We could get a deal done, but we would probably lose our first rounder.

Conclusion: PASS

I like Sherman. He is a ball winner and he is goal-hungry. Goal-hungry is something we need to have in our side as most of our blokes are goal-shy. No-one really want's to burst out of the middle and put one through the big sticks (except for Judd who's foot skills have failed him in recent years). I say he is exactly the type of forward/mid we need.

It's a pity we couldn't get Grigg to go to Brisbane because then we could do a 3-way deal with Adelaide and still end up in front.

{Have removed a seriously flawed trade senario - Just as well i'm not involved in trade week}

That looks like a win for everyone really.

I like Sherman. He's a very exciting player who can break lines and kick goals. I was hoping we would be able to get him, but at the price he seems to be demanding, he's not worth it to us.

Off topic, but how did Brisbane get pick 5 AND a compensation pick from Gold Coast for Brennan and pick 10?
Compensation pick was only supposed to be applied for the uncontracted player scenario... this was a trade scenario.

They did pick him up as an uncontracted player. GC are allowed to take more than one, as long as the other club allows it. Compensation pick ahoy.

Then they trade pick 5 for pick 10.

Or something to that effect.
