Havent seen to much of him this year, but does have grunt and can break lines..
Let the debate rip tigerheads...;)

Yep i'd take him! was destroyed of confidence this year and a change of scenery would do him the world of good! Knows where the goals are and has great speed.....skills are good when he's in form but shocking when he's in a bad patch but consistency would iron that out IMO.

Let him walk into the PSD though otherwise leave him at Brissy!

Sherman is a definite no.

Simply not good enough and too old. No upside and a list clogger!! One of the brisbane players I simply never rated at any stage . Even when he was getting the ball he simply lacks the standard football nuos and qualities required at this level!

sorry dude, beg to differ on this one. Kinda think he wouldnt be that bad a fit in our line up atm. He has pace and can burst and can put them throught too.
BTW, do you rate Hissa? If so, then i understand completely. ;)

He's okay but I'd only get him if we could get him for a half eaten mars bar (or Matt White). Would fill a hole as a crumber but he's got unreliable skills and a few other flaws. He's better than he has shown this season, as he was played out of position most of the year.

I am interested to know why Matt White keeps coming up in the trade table topics. I thought he had a really really good year, I would probably have him in our top 22 at the current stage. He has some amazing speed that broke the lines many times this year, would be a shame to trade him when he seems to be showing something.

Do people just keep bringing him up because he could be worth something? Or did people simply not rate his performance this year?

I never been nervous when he has the footy. Sherman would not help us at all - yep, he can get it but he's another Carazzo or Stanton - they're very good runners but they turn it over too often.

I agree, he's just started to improve - now is not the time to be dumping him.

While I don't particularly want, **** me he is 23 years old.
That is not too old:rolleyes:
What a ridiculous thing to say FFS

Yeah , he is to old. We are six years from the premiership. That means we need players at the peak eg. 24. So we need 18 and 17 olds

You're an idiot mate, he is not too old.
We better get rid of Deledio then, came from the same draft:rolleyes:
At 23 you still possibly have 8-10 years in you

You will appreciate, with that comment, that I don't rate your opinion.

When I say to old I am talking generally in the context of the group. Lids is elite so he will be okay at 32 and maybe 34 barring injury. However , the major of our list will come from JR, Cotch, Martin(that generation) an younger when we strike for the premiership in 6 years. Tambo, Foley etc.. can contribute but we really shouldn't be topping up with more players at this vintage when realistic our premiership window starts in 6 years.

IMO peak ages of 26-28 are BS . IMO peak ages start far younger even from 22 particularly with midfielders. Taller players take longer sometimes butN Reiwoldts, J Brown, Careys break the mould as well. Our focus on the draft should be draft picks and plenty of them!

I cant believe l've fell for this, seriously...

Justin Sherman? Are you clowns for real?

Sherman, the same bloke who has worse foot skills than Jake King.

Sherman, the same bloke that always looks like a slow moving car crash everytime he gets ball (everyone knows he ****ed, except him).

He's a smaller version of Ray Hall. Embarrassing player.

cracks me up that you only think our premiership window will start to open up in 6 years. Is Hardwick still going to be coaching then? I'd say it will be a little sooner than that.

As for Sherman , I'd say pass because of his kicking and inconsistancy. He'd be too frustrating to watch. I'd hate to be a Brisbane supporter having to watch him fade in and out of games.

six years????
we need to be contending within 2-3 years or we wil have to start a new rebuild.
3/4's of our current list will be gone in 6 years

Whos kidding who. We have been in rebuild since the early 80's

A lot of teams are at least 15 years off depending on how they balance and develop their list.

It is all very well to be talking contention in 2-3 years but I am taliking winning it and usually there is one team, in contention and the others are making up the numbers.

Eg. The bulldogs are not in contention and may not be for another 15 years

Despite the prospects oif adding another to our Taswegian contingent I woudl pass on Sherman. A reasonable outside mid but if my mail is correct their are issues above the shoulders. We may need to widen the door openings at Punt Rd.

interesting. We might not have to widen the door openings. Just let Dimma put the clamps on above the shoulders. It worked for Mitch Morton.
At the end of the day he aint a world beater, but when we shop in the bargain basement for the "just in case" depth players, i wouldnt just dismiss him like other NFI diplomats do here.
I mean we can dream, like a lot do here, about recruiting match winners with each and every trade and draft pick we have at our disposal, but at the end of the day, he has the years of development behind him and clocked up games at senior AFL level, to be able to add senior experienced depth to the young list, to be utilised when required.
Unlike the Thomsons and Hislops, who played 3 1/2 games for their previous employers and were swooped on by us to add depth, which translated to us being in deep shit, seeing as we realised why they had only payed 3 1/2 games before they came to us. ;)
