Jet = the world's most famous Iggy Pop cover band.

As I've said a few times the only thing worse than seeing my team lose a granny by 20 goals was seeing those ***** on the same day.

Did they cover an Iggy Pop song or a stooges song Tex?

Either way I've always hated them but would wish them dead for touching Iggy/stooges music.

I've only heard one Jet song but I can tell from hearing that that their rhythm section wouldn't have the cojones to cover the mighty Stooges.

Very few bands have covered the Stooges and done the song justice. Very very few.

Pretty sure Radio Birdman or The New Race covered some Stooges songs in their early days. I think they actually covered '1970' (with the accidental misquoting of the lyric included) when I saw them live, I can't honestly remember.

Worst cover ever is RHCP doing 'Search and Destroy' - a pure insult.

The Iggy Pop reference is related to the fact that Jet's music sounds like they listened to Iggy's best of, and just stole all the riffs, monumentally ****ing them up in the process.

Then they claimed they were 'influenced' by them. Like Vanilla Ice was 'influenced' by Bowie and Mercury I guess.
