Ok, it is widely known that a 30 second shotclock was introduced to keep players from wasting time whence taking shots. However, why is it that when the 30 seconds have past, the umpire doesnt call play on? i have seen so many times that the shotclock has counted down, and a kicker still has another 10 seconds before he even kicks it.

can someone please explain the point of this rule if it isnt even going to be implemented.

This rule is the most stupid one ever. The umpires don't even know when the 30 seconds is up. And when it is they don't say anything anyway. It is :D:D:D:Ding stupid.

IT'S A SUBJECTIVE RULE! GET IT IN YOUR HEADS!

30 seconds is a "speed-up" guideline, not a hard limit.

God, does it take this long to get it into your heads?!?!

Another example of the AFL going off half cocked!

If they mean anything by the rule, as posted elsewhere, they would have an official shot clock on the scoreboard.

The opposition fans would call it out loud and clear.

If they don't mean to provide the means of enforcing it (like having a decent siren when they play games in thrid worl countries) then they should scrap it.

As it is they are sort of, maybe, half pregnant.

Nobody knows what is going on.

the chief offender is out for the rest of the season anyway, so what's the point.

Oh shut up and stop trying to get the game overadministrated.

I'd call you a whore but...well...you're a whore.
