Should Mags be readmitted?

Because he is obsessed by us. He wants to be one of us. He wants to join the "clicque", but knows he never could. He's jealous of our ability to have a good time on the board, and then carry it over into real life and hang out at the footy together. He has attempted to do this I think, but has failed.

Anyone who goes to that much trouble, and spends that much time trying to denigrate us needs our pity. I can honestly say I truely feel sorry for him.
 
Mags is a legend! of course he should come back to BigFooty.

Pressure group? What, you think those of us who are friends with Mags got together with a conspiracy to get him back on the boards?? This was all Hoggy's initiative!

Mags is a part of this board/community, and you can't deny that. If you don't like him, that's your problem. There are always people on the boards that you won't like.

I witnessed the 'AFL Era' flood on the main AFL board that night (the mess that resulted the 60 second posting rule). So I would have to say "no".

You can say "he's learned his lesson" or "he's a legend" or what ever, but the fact is he hassled the crap out of Bluey, I bet he has a few (more?) grey hairs after that. After running a large chat room for a while, I can totally sympathise what it is like to deal with people like that. IIRC (correct me if I am wrong) even though he was re-instated after a campaign like this, he continued on his way and was booted again.

When 'The Abuser' came back under a different nick and was booted, people said that he had changed his ways and should be allowed to stay. Fred responded with 'if someone constantly trashed your house, then promised they'd be good, would you let them back in?' (or words to that effect). A valid point IMO.

Personally I never had any issues with Mags, but Bluey (justifiably) does. It is his board, you cannot 'force' anyones re-instatement.

Leave it alone, this issue is very devisive.

Still waiting on your response to my request. Or is proof of your allegations "not worth it" either? Wow, your credibility in my eyes just skyrocketed. :rolleyes:
 
I had the pleasure (and it was a pleasure) of meeting Mags at a VFL game at Williamstown during my Victorian trip in April - and also at the Cricketers a couple of days earlier. He seems like a nice enough bloke.
I don't know what he did to get booted, I've only been here since late last year, but he seems OK to me and I wouldn't mind seeing him back here.

making a blanket statement that someone is a liar that is unqualified shouldn't really be allowed and is just name calling.

I dont think that is what bigfooty is about.

Forget it people - it will NEVER happen. To those that say it was just chat room abuse or that read through his posts to see why he was banned, you have no idea. What you didn't see were the dozens of posts that were removed. The boards flooded with foul abuse early morning - 50 posts at a time. The REAL Mags could be a saint for all I care. I only know the one that was here and he was a foul-mouthed individual that put FJD in the shade for abuse. He had plenty of chances and blew them all.

Not nearly as insightful as it was to view your Joffa poster creations to gain the perspective of the mental workings of a dead-set loser. The education you continually supply has been invaluable. On behalf of the "clicque", I thank you.

And not that it worries me that much but I took offence to being called a Sheep in your poster. If you had read Nick's you would know that I was very critical of Joffa and was the only one who took it up to him.

Anyway, thanks for not one but two mentions clown.
 
As usual it's degenerated into personal abuse so not much interest to most.
