One of my mates at cricket told me this one. A guy playing gridiron in America was caught in a very hard tackle and his femur popped out of the hip socket. The guy was in tremendous pain, so they popped it back in. This did not fix the problem. The bloke was still screaming in pain, so he was taken to a hospital for x-rays. They discovered that when his team doctor had pushed the femur back into the hip socket, his right tescticle got caught up in between the socket and the head of the leg bone, crushing it between the joint. Two hours after the incident, the problem was fixed, bruised testicle and all.

I can just imagine all the guys on this forum grimacing after hearing this sickening story. It's true, of course.

That is a stupid analogy. Obviously it is not common, but that doesn't mean it can't happen. Not being a doctor, I can't really give any evidence to support it, but hey, this was just what I was told. Let's just say it would be very painful.

No offense meant to Vergs who was passing on an interesting story, but I'm not buying it either.

A testicle can retreat up into the abdomen, but there is no pathway (nor mechanism in this case) for it to makes it's way over between the head of the femur and the pelvic socket.

It would take stepping on a landmine to do something like that, and then it would be obvious anyway.

Vergs, get back with your mate from the cricket and tell him it's the considered opinion of Bigfooty experts that he is a schmuck.
