Bobby G posted this elsewhere, but i thought it was worthy of another airing.

Nothing more need be said. :(

Correct... And credit to GAJ that he puts up with this everyweek. Most players (including Judd) would lose their cool and get suspended but Gazza puts up with this type of treatment week in, week out.

GAJ really is something special.

Sickening?? Scary, disgraceful, disgusting are more the words I would have used. (is that SJ directly behind GAJ - at least someone was standing up for GAJ) When are umpires going to wake up to this sort of thing that great players have to put up with week in/week out.

I truly felt ill when i first saw the picture.

It is all those things you mentioned, but it also saddened me greatly. This sort of stuff isn't what our club has been built on (over the past 18 months).

That's no good at all.

To try to work out how bad it was, I tried to think what would happen if that was Wells and not GoJu.

That group of Dogs would have been "removed" REAL quick.

You realise this occured at the half time break?

Gary was surrounded by no less than 9 opposition players and not one Geelong player had his back.
Dog was around, but was merely an observer.

You're comfortable with that?

It's also representative of a bad trend emerging in our game, an unwillingness to fly the flag.

I've been loathe to criticise Steven King however he sets a horrible example when it comes to protecting teammates.
Even on the weekend we saw King refuse to sheperd, and then refuse to remonstrate after a smaller teammate got hit hard.

Happens every ********ing week.

How many of you will climb back on the Moorabool St. bandwagon when it comes racing through town next week?

Plenty.

I know i was talking an era of dominance after last weeks win. I predicted 7 straight premierships. Probably got a little ahead of myself.

But hey, if we can get over the Bombers on Friday i'll jump back on and re-assess. Perhaps 10 straight.

Got nothing to do with a bandwagon, i think i speak for the rest of us when I say we will support the club to the death. But what we saw on Saturday was sht!e and has riddled our club for years.

I just had a look at it on video and it's no where near as bad as it looks in the still photo (in a Geelong players not flying the flag kinda way). The Dogs players started to gather and Ablett was slowly making his way to the Geelong rooms. I think it was Cooney that pretty much tapped him then Will Minson did the same thing and that was that. It's just a coincidence that there were so many Bulldog players around at the time (as you can see West and Giansiracusa are showing no interest also). Most of the Cats players were 20 metres away at that stage so running over to help him out just would have needlessly re-ignited things.

Just the way I personally saw it. I wouldnt be overly worried about it as a Cats fan.

Ablett isn't a great player yet, but in any case they aren't children. If that's the worst thing that's going to happen to them they don't have much to worry about. Anyway you can always hit them back. That will stop it pretty quick.

True, but it 100% reflected the way we played on Saturday though
