I would love to blame today's losses on the coach, but any side misisng their entire backline bar one small defender....their full forward and best mark...The midfield slickness of Headland amongst others really would have been in the same position.

I would love to blame the umpires, who again were shocking and disgraceful, but ultimately the umpires didnt cost us the game.

I would love to blame sydneys boring game plan but again we have used th same one.

I would love to put the boot into medhurst, but he is a small forward, in the end 2 goals a game is all we can expect from him. For him to be our main avenue up forward after Pavlich the kid is always going to struggle.

11 seasons in and many people must be questioning why stay, when there is so little to be proud of.
Come seasons end Schwab is going to be talking of hunting the next out of contract star for freo to fix up just the thing that has kept us out of finals whatever it be this year....
Offseason I think this is the year, surely nothing could go wrong. And so the cycle continues year in year out as it has for freo's entire history.

Question why do I support them? Well I am sad to say at the moment unlike in the past I dont spend the week looking forward to the game, dont get me wrong I still get a buzz at todays opening bounce..but ultimately it quickly fades.
So where to from here??
Tell myself over the break we will regain the majority of our side, our players will play with hunger and the second half of the season will be better than the first, resulting in finals glory.
I mean what else can I do?
There is no alternative to freo, after 11 seasons of ******** I am still passionate though the flame is a littler dimmer , but my resolve to never leave the club has never been stronger.
In the end how good will victory taste...? :D

If hasleby is injured why not rest him.
What is wrong with hasleby.
Midfield is starting to look a bit dangerous again. We just need hasleby to stand up.
Cooks in good form
schammer Finding form
Carr gone downhill a bit, but alot of what he does isn't measured in kicks and handballs.
Black- to move out of the back pocket.

Smashed in the clerances in third Q 7-1. thre inconsistency is not coming from the youngsters but the experienced players. Go missing for too long in games.

yes our backline is undermanned but if your midfield is running hard and applying pressure then the ball coming in is not as "clean"

Haze is either carrying an injury and/or doesn't quiet know what his role is with Josh and Blacky in there.

Yeh, certainly outgunned today.

The really sad thing is exactly what you've described Sabre - no signs that the 11 year trend is really turning around on the field. Still, maybe some good draft picks for CC to waste at year's end.

Yes at least we'll be able to pick up another talent packed kid with no discipline & continue to hope that they will one day pull their finger out. I count Dunn, Polak & Haselby in that bracket.

Is seem that we have very few truly professional & driven players. Those that are (Pav & Bell) look to be frustrated & disenchanted that they are the only top level players that give two s h i t s.

Lets face it too many players lack hunger, particularly the ones that we need to show hunger, AREN'T!!

As much as I shouldn't be defending one of yours, but describing Haselby as having no discipline is bollocks. I reckon he tries his guts out, but is either injured or out of form because recently he's looked even slower than normal.

Trust me sabre, with the abundance of talent at South Fremantle over the years and lack of premiership success, with only 3 league premierships in the last 35 years (1997, 1980 & 1970), Fremantle is a joy ride.

When you do taste success it is all the more sweeter for going through the tough times.

Agree, insert "following Swan Districts through the 70's".

In for the long haul.
