It, BluesBade666, is because a slowing down of the vBulletin Version 2.2.9 is currently taking place. Why? you may ask. This is because of the number of visitors per day (NOVPD) has increased dramatically over time which causes the server (if you will) to slow down.

Avatars (if you will [again]) use up Megabites (mbs) which cause the users of the BigFooty forums to 'download' them.

So.... basically what you're saying is that BF are too tight to spend some money on enlarging the capacity so that its users can enjoy the use of avatars.

And the rock i have been living under is called work... the only reason i am here today is that every other goose is not at work, and i am, therefore i am bored and have resorted to using this "delightful" forum once again!!

Groves does a great job running these forums. I dont see why he should spend his money for us to enjoy his 'service'. I dont think BigFooty are tight - the users are a different story.

Not quite right. Only premium members at bigsoccer have avs. They also get sigs and forum jump etc that normal members don't.

AND, silly me i am assuming that premium members are just members with higher post counts that everyone else. Now i realise that they actually pay something for their memberships whilst normal members do not?

No, what b/soccer did was totally different. They have two different categories of members with different features available.
We don't. All we had was a scheme where those that wanted to donate gained access to another forum.
Apart from that, everyone's equal here.
