i must admit i was surprised to see this guy was retained, is there any reason to expect anything from him?

does anyone think he'll get a game in the 1's at any point?

depth player i think, interesting considering we have rance, i suppose two injuries to the backline could give him his break.

Definately for Depth. He is easily one of the best defenders in the VFL has been so for a while. I think the coaching staff know a mature aged recruit will take time fitness wise to get up to AFL standard and another AFL preseason will do him the world of good.

In the wizard cup last year he seemed to slow but if he's called upon in 2009 he will have about a year and a half in the system and could prove a handy back up in the backline if needed. If Nathan Carroll can play first grade then common sense suggests this bloke can too.

Not the worst decision in the world to keep him on. The best thing about the Tigers is that they have stopped all the Frawley chopping and changing crap of players from the past. They are backing these blokes and I'm sure it will pay off. If he gets called upon to play even 2 games this year I'm sure they will be servicable and that's what the rookie list is for.
