Who watches it and what do they think?

I've just started watching it and I can say that it is unlike any other show I've seen and I'm hooked. The homosexual theme with David is a bit strong but I can look past that. Not that there's anything wrong with it!!

I jumped on the band wagon after episode 2. If Ch 9 had given it decent promotion then I and many other Aussies might have seen the first episode.
Its my favourite show, I love Rachel Griffith's character's storyline with her f*(ked up brother.

It's the kind of show that grows on you, I guess, with the talking to the corpses, the relationships (tepid and otherwise) between the characters, the love triangle involving the family's matriarch... it's all very weird, but you can't turn away from it.

Definitely the opposite offering following "Sex in the City", but I guess that's another reason why it works over here, too-- the contrast of it all.

Cheers,
William

I hope this show sticks around there, because I'm about to move there permanently and I'm worried it won't last. The second season is just wrapping up in the States - it gets better and weirder. No spoilers though.

First show since the Simpsons started that I make plans around. It's that good.

Its qaulity drama/comedy and as a result will be left in a late night spot or will be removed

Much the same Happened to Sopranos and the West Wing

Why is it that the majority of Australians will watch crap like Blue Heelers and Backyard Blitz but will not watch quality drama

Why can't the ABC pick up these really good US shows and not show the second rate British crap that they get from the BBC.

(obviously some of the British suff is great but they do go overboard)

I was told about the show and I watched it and I really didn't like it. However I watched it again and it has grown on me and now I make sure I see it every week. I agree with ohmyhat about the gay theme, but overall it is quite entertaining.
