LOL!!!

I detest skaters.
The worst is when they start calling normal people who play sport "jocks" this really gets on my nerves and creates constant conflict in my town. The local shopping centres car parks are always full of the little deros.

I have a problem when they are in shopping centre carparks - it doesn't take much for someone's car to get damaged.

I live in a beach-side suburb and I know people (adult males of up to 30) who still ride skateboards - LOSERS!!

You dont think they deserve to die.Im not quiet sure i agree with you.:D

There is occasional whinging down here in Geelong, but I don't see that it is much of a problem here. I don't have anything against skateboarders, there is a few of them at my school and I haven't seen a lot of damage or anything in the city.

Its not so much the damage or even the skating that gets to me its just there attitude, there always rockin up to parties and starting fights. It just seems as though they have got something against other people.

skaters give me the sh|ts. They have no respect for anything at all...whether it be old people, war monuments or anything.

Them with their jeans that are 45 sizes too big, their fubu/baseball shirts/wutang jackets can go and get f*cked!

Id love to just line one up one day and knock one flying (sorry dave...i forgot to take my anger pills today :D )

Interesting comment by bunsen burner

I've noticed it too - for some strange reason, Skateboarding in Sydney is an older mans pastime.

Like, blokes my age are regularly seen skateboarding or scootering.

We're talking males 25-45 age group here - whats the story with that ?

Is it because Sydney men are vain, glitzy, shallow and narcicisstic and feel the need to act like teenagers all the time because they are sh^t scared of getting old or looking old ?

something like that I suppose, Peter Pan Syndrome seems to be in plague proportions up here at the moment.

Whatever these guys think they are - in my opinion a late 30's male with a greying hair and a pot belly riding a skateboard has to one of the most ridiculous things you could ever see.

cheers

Ugghh, middle aged men look so stupid with all their surfy and skaty gear on, silver and leather surfy jewelery, pierced eyebrows and lips and pissy little goatees. Not a good look, guys.:D

I HATE WUTANG!!!!

I also hate how some people feel the need to wear 9 shirts, a jumper or two, a jacket or two and 3 pairs of pants and the same time. Not a good look!!

Ah WuTang!!!

All the little year 7's at my school wear matching pants and tshirts and jackets - we'd abuse the crap out of them if they didn't look so cute and coordinated. Well actually, we abuse them anyway - tools.

2001 was Year 9 for me. Seemed like a lot of people skated. Not sure about now.

Never got into skating, for the sole reason that I was terrible at it.

Seems like a hobby that has a use by date for everyone. I know of one dude in his late 30s (possibly early 40s) who does it with his young kids at the skate park, but other than that I don't know anyone who stuck with into their 20s. Tony Hawk is 51 and AFAIK still skating. Just seems weird. I know people that ski, snowboard, surf, windsurf, mountain bike etc. in their 30s, 40s and older but skating just seems to be for kids.

I still skate. Started again in my late 30s early 40s. Beats walking.

No issue with skaters. If they wanna skate in car parks fine. But when I or other drivers are approaching them, please move aside in a timely manner.

i was once driving along a suburban road approaching a roundabount. Bunch of skaters there with hand held cameras (before phones) taking vids. fine. As i approached one of them decided to stand and hold his hand out to stop me. wtf. times like these one wishes for a free run over someone pass.
