The band of the millenium. Slipknot. They've written TWENTY tracks to their follow-up to IOWA, and VERY MUCH determined to raise the bar yet another step in the world of heavy metal.
Blistering.com tells us that the 2 years Slipknot spent apart, has done nothing but bring out the best in each and every of the nine band members. Joey Jordison had the sheer delight in stating - "We are comin' back to reclaim the crown of the world's most brutally honest and insane band." I have three words....F*CK YEAH SLIPPERS!!!

They've all made their way back to their abandoned mansion in the hills of hollywood, and claim to show all the bands how it's REALLY done. Expect their new album to hit the shelves early next year.

I've recently made a new set-up in mah house, and surround sound will soon be the new product. I'm heading into the city next week to check out some top-range speakers, which will NO DOUBT have the honor of blaring out the BRUTAL, SAVAGE, and downright INSANE tunes of the music legends...the gods of brutality......Slipknot.

As a head-banger of old, I feel I can safely say that Slipknot DON'T produce metal that is anywhere near as brutal as some of their European, less trendy counterparts. try listening to Defleshed (either "Fast forward", or "Royal straight flesh"). This trio kick the serious butt that posers like Slipknot can only dream of kicking. Slipknot is Glam-metal for kids who want to shock their parents-their parents, meanwhile, think that Linkin Park is great music to stack the dish-washer by. I hate all these Nu-Metal bands!!!

Dimu borger (hope i spelled that correctly) are pushing metal boundaries imo.
Their latest cd has The Prague orchestra playing on it(unbelievable stuff(french horns and metal .

Dimmu Borgir, along with Cradle of Filth, are a bunch of posers with little musical substance. Pushing metal boundaries by playing with an orchestra? Sorry, Celtic Frost was the first black metal band to utilise orchestral elements, way back in the 80s. Now they were a great band.

Stevo I was around in the metal scene in the 80's (I played drums on Hobbs's angel of death's first cd.

In fact the mid 80's.
Bloody Essendon supporters think they know everything.

Slip Knot arent that bad. But id have to agree with you about those european bands.
