Roast Slippery Business

Seriously. Do something about the slipping.

No clue if its the footwear, the ground or the players themselves, but the constant slipping was ****ing infuriating.

I love a good slip on the banana peel but tonight was just ridiculous.

I'd have probably looked at footspeed and set shot conversion myself. They lead us to the ball most of the day and we blew a few chances (White in the first and Seedsman on 3/4 time) even with the slip and slide shenanigans.
I'm sure there's enough roasts to go around.

Glorious weather at the 'G. Collingwood players be like:

Not really. The result was fairly predictable once Richmond decided they actually wanted to play footy instead of that chip chip bullshit.

We struggle against quick ball movement. The Tigers moved it quickly after 1/4 time ergo they won. On that basis I don't see much worthy of roasting.

If you want to go hard over slipping look at the guys that wait for the ball and then slip. PK was a serious culprit of that, but he'll be dropped because he adds nothing defensively so again it's not something that is overly roastworthy, IMO.

To be fair, every team struggles against quick ball movement, and we struggle a whole lot more when we play two ruckmen and lose Toovey in the 2nd quarter.

Hmmmmmm

Nah I still think slipping needs a good roasting

Deledio changed his boots twice during the game and look at the impact he had. Coincidence? I think not.

(He actually did change his boots twice though)

lol. Losing Toovey early had nothing to do with it. Seriously, until the second half I wouldn't have known Lids was even out there.

He had a tonne of touches in the first half, but wasn't a big impact up forward obviously.

I agree though, had Toovey not gone down we win that game by a fair margin. But y'know, we had our chances to win and we didn't so whatever.

As for the OP, Richmond players were slipping over too, albeit not as much. It all tended to happen on the interchange wing so I'd guess the ground there is in very poor condition.
