Slowdown X

For those that have forgotten/aren't aware, Slowdown X is on TONIGHT at Adelaide Oval (well, what's left of it).

Anyone planning on going?

I've made a last minute decision to go with a couple of mates - luckily alot of my Crows gear from the Semi Final debacle are still in my boot (mainly to keep warm lol).

Cost is $5, starts at 7:00pm. I don't think Channel 7 are broadcasting the game this year.

ABC 891 broadcasting from 7.00pm. They usually stream over the net on the ABC Adelaide site

Real fun night, as it is every year! Around 12000 or so crowd, and some good entertainment, especially the mascot race! Love going every year as it helps wind you down from the main season, and its always good to see Roo unloading a 60m torpe down the middle. Bloody freezing though!

The event itself was quite entertaining. The mascot race at half time was just hilarious (how many times was Thunda Power mugged lol). I managed to film the 'race', and the replay was just as hilarious.

Other highlight was the 'siren' - I think Adelaide Oval should use that as their siren from now on

In the end, I think Ryan Fitzgerald costed us the match

On a serious note, getting out via the Clarrie Grimmett entrance was a complete farce as they had one door open. Didn't the SACA think of opening the gate around there to make getting out easier...and they want AFL and international rugby at the ground

never fails to amaze me how good some still look, some of them look like they could still play SANFL.

Also shows that fitness may subside but skill never dies.

Glad it was a good night, hopefully lots of money was raised for a good cause.
