Who's getting the Sly Collection in November? I can't wait, it's up there with the Ratchet and Clanks and other classics on PS2. One of my fav series, definitely.

I may consider it. Recently got God of War collection so a bit of my judgement will consider on how that is.

I recall playing number 1 (I think) back in the PS2 era. It was good from memory.

I assume it will retail at 50-60 dollars like the God of War collection?

IGN US - SLY COOPER REVIEW

Should you buy The Sly Collection? Yes, absolutely. Even if you've already played all three games (and I've found that most people seem to have played one of the games and missed the other two), this is a series worth revisiting. You get to see the history of Sucker Punch as a developer, you get to play some of the best platformers of last generation, and you get one of the greatest bargains in video games since The Orange Box.

9.0 Presentation
Three full games, plus bonus content on one disc. Awesome.

7.5 Graphics
The cel-shaded graphics still look slick, and the 3D portions look a lot better without red/blue glasses.

7.5 Sound
Tons of voicework from every character in all three games. The music isn't all that exciting though.

8.5 Gameplay
Each game has its own merits, but these are some of the best platformers on the PS2.

8.5 Lasting Appeal
Dozens of hours of gameplay, and a really cool reason to get all three Platinums...

OVERALL 8.5

will you have time to play it, seeing as you'll be busy with the hannah monatana game?
Hannah gets as much time as physically possible all the time, but if I can I will give myself up to whoring for at least 2-3 minutes each day.:)

Picking it up this Thursday, so pumped!
I played Sly 2 at least 4 or 5 times over and Sly three I think twice, but I'm still so eager to get this. $60 for three top games!
If you're not sure about getting this, you simply need to just play it. Get it from EB Games, with worst case scenario being you return within their 7 day policy, but it won't happen :D
Probably the best game in terms of 'fun' ever. I also reckon that not many people know about the stealth in this game, it's a major part, and it's so awesome.

PS. It's called the "Sly Trilogy" in Europe and Australia/NZ, and the "Sly Collection" in USA. Not sure why...

Juice..? Whose got dee juice?

Sly 1, 2 and 3 on 1 disc. So yes, all PS2 Sly's.

The graphics have more or less been cleaned up. Where there might be the odd graphical glitch from the PS2 versions, that will all be gone for a cleaner HD look. No actual physical improvements (in that textures will remain the same, just being upscaled) apart from a smoother framerate most likely.

The 3D is only optional.

Also has PS Move compatibility.

Yeah the 3d is only optional and the move support is just for some miniganes outside of the actual games.

I picked it up today, the graphics are fantastic! It would certainly pass for a straight Ps3 game.
I played Sly 2 and 3 many times on PS2 but only got halfway through the first game. the first one is actually pretty different to Sly 2 and 3, IMO not as good, but it's still good fun. Sly 2 and 3 are absolute classics though.
$60 for 3 games of this standard is awesome :D

im gonna buy this asap

i only just got a ps3, been playing ps2 for years. i dont like many gun games or horror games so games like this and ratchet and clank etc. are awesome

did you get it from EB? im assuming thats the cheapest price on it at the moment

Yeah at EB, if you see it anywhere cheaper they match the price anyway

$49.94 at Dick Smith is the cheapest I'm seeing. Will pick it up on Friday probably at that price.

Picked this up today for the aforementioned price.

Not bad so far, I'm astounded at how good it looks. For an 8 year old game this looks very close to next-gen, the character models especially are all very, very nice. Same goes for the HD Cutscenes (something missing in the GoW Collection). Can't wait to see what the next 2 look like with the extra years they had since release.

I'm enjoying the stealth and platform gameplay so far and to get some of the hidden items and such requires some good thinking. The combat is a little simple so far though. The music is very good.

Can see the Sucker Punch influences that made it's way into inFAMOUS, there's A LOT of similarities. From the cutscenes, the 'in your ear' voice help, the platforming and the animations are all very much the same things that were employed in inFAMOUS (and I think someone even mentioned about the Animation of Cole being similar to Sly in the inFAMOUS thread).

Tons of trophies to collect. You can't see the 3 games worth straight off the bat, but if Sly 1's are to be taken into account there'll be about 90 trophies across the 3 games (probably even breaking through the 100 barrier). The Sly 1 trophies seem fairly easy and progressive too in that it'll basically be the way you play the game that gets you the high majority of them.

On top of the 3 for the 3 Sly's there's even 8 trophies for the mini-games that you can play (with the Move compatibility), with a very generous 2 Silver, 2 Gold and 4 Bronze.

Having played only Sly 2 and 3 on PS2, I was a little taken aback about how different the first game is compared to the next two. You're in for a treat if you're loving Sly 1, because 2 and 3 are amazing. I thought the first game lacked stealth, but Sly 2 and 3 are awesome stealth games the whole way through.
