We've played a few games and it's pretty good.
A bit of thinking involved which my 10yo son seems more than capable of.
The kids did need a bit of a hidden area to organise their cards as you can get a dozen or more in your hand after a while, and some races can chain their cards.
I was CRITICISED for not having my cards ready to play while my son and his friend had them all laid out and their turns planned.
Not complicated:
Pick two race decks, shuffle them together, attack bases (and other players) with Minions and Actions and get points when the bases are overrun.
Wizards can chain cards together, Zombies can get cards back from their deck, Pirates can move minions between bases. Aliens seem to push other races around, back into their owners hands etc. Ninjas have a few interrupt and assassinate moves. Dinosaurs are big beasties that are hard to move. And so on...
