The girl's smile is just about the most important physical feature to me* if I'm going to enter in a relationship with a girl TBH.

*no homo.

Should really put that asterisk at the end of the second part of your comment as well.

Do you think you have a good smile and how much does it play in picking up a chick.

I admit, it's been commented by women that it is one of my best features.

For me, the aesthetics of a smile comes down to...

Straight teeth
No visible over/under bite
Gums not massively sticking out upon smiling as though they're larger than the teeth themselves

Just thinking about it, a lot of people would match the above criteria, so how would girls differentiate between these guys? I suggest that it comes down to personality. A person vibrating confidence, positivity and a fun person to be around is more likely to smile in a way that attracts the girl, thus leaving her with the impression that his smile is better than most.

If you flip the table and make it so that I'm judging a girl by her smile, I'd probably follow this reasoning. Think about it - all else being equal, who has the better smile, the absolute queen bee bitch, or the fun-loving girl that's easy to get along with?

Some people smile with their whole face, some just smile with their mouth. The first one is by far the best one.

I would say that the only difference between the two is that the former indicates a genuine smile, where as the latter indicates one that is forced. What do you think?

Possibly. I shouldn't have said just the mouth. Mouth and eyes would've been a better explanation. Some people will smile with just their mouth and their eyes if it's a genuine smile, whereas others you can tell from pretty much anywhere on their face whether they're smiling or not.

Disagree completely:

I'm a full face smiler, but forced smiles are nearly always lip-only smilers pulling an all-facer.

This song sums it up pretty well.

It's called the Duchenne smile (to do with physiology of behaviour).

The guy it is named after used to experiment on homeless people.
