Read in todays Herald Sun that Misiti could be out for 6 weeks with a knee. At the moment, I think that Misiti is one player we can't afford to lose. His form this year has been sensational and with Heffernan also missing we have lost a lot of our ability to rotate the midfield. This will put a lot of pressure on J. Johnson as he would be our second best in and under player. I also think we may see Hird play more in the midfield to try and cover him a little.

Any comments on who you think can fill Smokin Joe's shoes (even one shoe will do)?

I am still recovering from hearing he got injured, I think I jinxed him by saying that he could win the brownlow if he kept playing the way he did in his first 2 games. Damn Damn Damn.

mark johnson and dean solomon

i think these two might push into the midfield
in particular, mark johnson

corey mcgrath may get a run, or perhaps robran to allow johno and solly into the middle

Also no surprise that the first time Essendon makes the back page of the paper here all year, is when we have injury and suspension problems.

Yeah...seems to be a growing trend. Gives the journos something "different" to write, instead of "The unbeatable Bombers do it again!" Remember, the media have been the only parties labelling us as "unbeatable".

Arch, Misiti has a PCL strain...and 6-8 weeks is more realistic. It can be a funny injury, but it does tend to heal well and there is far less chance of a re-lapse as opposed to ACL damage.

Hope everything works out for him. I just hope Heffernan is doing well in his recovery
