Essendon defender Dean Solomon will have arthroscopic surgery on his knee tomorrow to remove some loose cartilage from below the knee cap. Solomon will miss the next four weeks as a result of the surgery but will be available to play in the final two pre-season matches before the season opener against Sydney.

A reasonably good pre-season with injuries is fast changing. Hopefully it sorts it out and he doesn't play injured again. Couldn;t stand to watch him play like crap again because of injury.

And that playing injured last season is probably why he still has the problem i suspect.

Not the best news. He is one bloke we need back on the field and playing well.Guess that explains why he wasnt running at training today. Must not be too serious as he still did all the handball work with Barnesy and the restricted group.
