How wonderful it was to see the rally in New York opposing the impending war on Afghanistan, and to see Americans stating things like "this is a knee-jerk reaction" and "death of more innocent lives will not solve anything".

Hopefully there is more of this sentiment over there.

Gidday Mobs,

It was on SBS news last night. Basically it was a rally through New York calling for peace. Some people interviewed mentioned things like calling the war a "knee jerk response". Also mentioned was the U.S.'s penchant for dabbling in terrorism themselves. Nice to see some politically aware people over there. Particularly impressive that it was in New York... if anyone was going to be calling for blood, it would be them.

It was just nice to see another angle on the whole thing.
