Some positivity...

Another positive - given Sicily's injury is upper body, if we make finals, he should have been able to maintain fitness when he comes back into the side.

I’m positive Timmy O has now proven a bust & we move on.

I’m positive that there is another element to one of the greatest aboriginal players to leave the game.
Huge loss but opens the door for a free agent to play a full season...

I am absolutely positive that there needs to be a couple of changes in the coaching ranks.
We have rolled out the same garbage with players that can’t execute the required skills. New faces are needed for a change in approach.

Jags will prove every part of his trade value.

I’m 100% positive that our best can match it with the best but the list is on the decline & needs a clean out & it should have started last year with a couple of mature age recruits thrown a life line; think Andrew Moore could have been handy over Willsmore or WX.

I’m positive that there is a big play in mind to grab multiple top end talent players via free agency this off season & next. I’m also positive that if this doesn’t happen we are bound to be a 10-15 team for a few years & forced to the draft with a long way back to be relevant.

I’m 110% positive that every hawks fan out there has an eye on the future with their main focus on the now & where it can be rectified to be a powerhouse top 4 team for the next decade.
We have been spoiled....
I don’t give a shit!...It has to keep coming!

We will always have this...

Realise how much I miss him then I saw Cyril in the background and thought how much I’ll miss him...

On a positive note I can reflect on how much both these players have made Hawthorn a better club and had significant contributions to our success and I hope Brisbane benefit from Hodge as well.

We have a chance to avoid being Geelong.

We don't need to hang around the top 6 for almost a decade, with false hope, before our best players and mature recruits retire. like Geelong.

Ablett: 34
Dangerfield: 28
BlicavsL: 27
Duncan: 27
Hawkins: 30
Henderson: 28
Selwood: 30
Stanley: 28 this year
Taylor: 32
Tuohy: 28

We have recruited two young mids in Mitch and JOM. We can face facts, do a deeper rebuild, lean on the strength of our club and our supporters, and truly come back stronger than the rest of the competition... even if it means some painful ladder positions.

The more pronounced the bad times are the better are the good. I still maintain that the 2008 grand final was one of the most euphoric feelings I have ever felt in my life. It still makes me happy now when I cast my mind back. The sole reason for that was the 17yrs of solitude that set the scene for it. A couple of years in the cellar isn't the worst thing in the world. Plus watching player development and list turn over (with all it's hits and misses) has it's own form of interest.
Be careful what u wish for, very lucky that clarko came along when he did.
