I caught a bit of Metal last week, and the commentators (Cole & Coachman?) were babbling on that if Tripe dropped the Title, it (and presumably Tripe himself) would remain in whatever show it was dropped in.

So if Tripe dropped it to the Rock, the World Title would remain in Smachdown. If he dropped it to the Undertaker, then it would remain in RAW.

Surely that can't be right, can it? If Tripe dropped it, the new Champion would be able to move between shows also, wouldn't he?

Or is this the way they're going to look at develop two World Titles so that the Brand Extension can progress into two distinctively separate mismanaged entitites?

I think they just mean the wrestler? If HHH lost the title to the Rock, he'd then be on the Smackdown roster and the Rock would be free to play both rosters.

I thought the change over of the two titles for the one belt was a way of building up the "prestige" of being the champion - the 1 belt and the ability to be on both shows.

I thought If Triple H lost the title to Rock for instance, then Triple H would become a free agent, and McMahon & Flair would do what they did with Austin, but then Rock can be on both shows.

If it happens they way you said, then they will lose a viewer (I'm already about a third of the way there)

They meant Mr. Lesvesque would stay on that particular show, not the title.

They just unified the belts into one, there's no way they'd revert back to two (unless Austin demands it backstage ;) )

That's how I understood it to be too.

Thanks.

It was hard to understand the way they were babbling on. It brought back memories of Schiavone in his heydey.

Yes, the did swap the title over for one, but if they have two distinctly separate shows, then it'd make sense they both their own Titles, so they can truly diverge.

Over at another Board where I'm posting, they're guessing how long before the Brand Exetension is mismanaged and both shows re-merge. Longest tip so far is year, (at the next SportsEntertainmentMania), and the shortest is right after the next PPV!

HAHA those were the days, Tony and Mark Madden.

Has anyone ever liked Schiavone? Apparently he was hated backstage.

Since when does anything the WWF do make sense. they havent had a good storyline in a long time and im still waiting for the nWo to arrive. expect more confusion in the coming months
