After the first few sets of votes, no song has more than one Billy and the votes are spread out. These are both signs of a strong, even list.
The leader is on 9 votes and 1 billy with multiple songs close behind on 7 votes/0 billies (2 songs) and 6 votes/0 billies (4 songs). One unlucky song has a billy but no votes yet, and there are still 10 donuts left to be eaten.
It is still anyone's game at this early stage of the competition.

So after Chipmunk 's "ask someone for a nom" round my muso mate who I asked a nom from started his own version of the SC. Main differences are he's made a program that allows contestants to listen on whatever platform they prefer and that he hosts every round, thus chooses the theme each week.
Anyhow this week's theme is "Favourite Beatles Song". FFS I can't escape them.

I think they're great MBR. Can see why they're renowned as the most influential band of all time. But my phase with them was over 10 years ago and I'm keen to move on... but not before I Twist and Shout one more time this week hehe.If you don't like

Heard Revelry by Kings of Leon a couple days ago, really dug it. I worked at sanity when the album came out and we played it heaps so I should be familiar with it but it was like I was hearing it for the first time. The drums sound like something from The British Expeditionary Force and the vocal line in the chorus is well done. Might need to give that album a closer listen. Been stuck in my head.

With 16 sets of votes counted the lead has changed multiple times with dramatic swings too. The current leader is on 23 after a slow start, followed by another song which took some time to build momentum on 21. Third is on 18 (and 1 billy) with multiple other songs close behind and within striking distance. On the other end of the scale, all the donuts have been eaten and the billy race is even closer than the regular race. With 8 sets of votes left, it is still anyone's game.
