The footage shown in the Nintendo Direct was a lot better and showed a decent amount of new stuff.

I’m around 5 or 6 hours in, this is a good video game.

The gameplay loop is fun and really rewards exploration. Basically you explore the open world to find parts to open the cyber zones (the time trial levels) to unlock keys for the emeralds. The rails were a bit much at first but they are essentially fast travel.

Combat is fine, there’s a small skill tree and you get a few different moves. You barely have to fight if you don’t want to avoid it.

It has its issues with pop in but other than that looks gorgeous.

What are you playing it on? The game is thematically the sort of thing I prefer to play on Switch, but the Nintendo Life review was not great, so I might get it on Series X if I do get it.

Platinum done, what a great game!

By the end of the game when Sonics speed is levelled up you absolutely fly around the open word, so much fun.
