If someone could help me please.

I started downloading an album on Soulseek last Friday, and there was over 200 people waiting to download as well. So, i thought i'll leave it on all weekend and by the Monday i got down to 37th in line. Half an hour later, i was back up to over 200 again

Is there any way i can overcome this and not lose my place in line?

What happened was someone on that persons list logged back in , and user list can often have priority over joe public via 'share files to user list first' tickbox.

Either that or someone who donated to soulseek jumped the queue because of the benefits you get from donating.

The good news is if you are going from 37 to 200 then it is likely only 1 person queing up files in this case over 160 so when he logs off you will be back in the lower numbers hopefully.

In short you could message the guy but that would probably get you banned.I'd leave the computer on for the next few days and it should go through.

Thanks Ruffneck - i did have a subscription but that only went for 3 months. I still have access for some reason, and everyone seems to luv uploading from me (i have over 8000 files and increasing lol) but i can't seem to get this album. Been on my wishlist since i joined Soulseek and now it finally comes up and i can't get it. I thought of messaging the guy, but had the same thought as you - he might ban me. So, just keep on trying i guess.

Thanks again :thumbsu:
