Its official, Collingwood is the most pathetic club!!!! All I have heard since Sunday's match against the Swans is how much undermanned they were, how 'Mean" plugger was to a player that at any other decent club wouldnt even manage a reserves. game.

First of all, if I hear one more time how many of their star players were out, I'll puke. Do I really need to say how many of the Swans top players were out (Willaims, Schwass, Mick O, Goodes, Ball, Nicks, Daffy, Barry, etc). Face it, you were beaten by a team that 10 times superior then yourselves, and stop making stupid excuses.

Secondly, I always knew Ed McDick was a whinger, but really didnt think the coach and pathetic backman (Wakelin) could stoop to his depths. To come out of a game crying that Plugger was to rough is pathetic, It is up to the AFL to decide on what is and isnt reportanble, and this is another example of Ed and his pack of no hoppers wanting to conrol the AFL. If that isnt a conflict of interest, then nothing is....

Another thing, to pull out the predictable line that the swans are the AFL's lovechild is so typical of you pathetic finalist wannabes, never-will-bes. The swans now get no assistance from the AFL. Yes, they did in their time of crisis, but so have many other clubs in tha AFL (need I name names).

Lastly, I noticed that some collingwood supporter in an earlier thread believed daffy was not worthy of a mention, yet a player of the ilk of Cole was. This just further shows how pathetically poor your list is. Daffy would be an absolute walk-up-start in a team like yours. Saying Collingwood missed Cole, is like saying the Swans missed Schneidder. This is by no means a stab at the Swans youngster, rather it points out how much you try and makes excuses for a loss. Schneider has just been picked up in last years draft, and would by no means be expected to play a senior game yet at a club like Sydney. Yet, a collinwood supporter would somehow suggest that a similar player at the pies would get a gurnsey if fit. How very SAD!!!!!!!

In summary, Collingwood supporters are whingers and far too highly optimistic, The Collinwodd president is also a winger and tries to run the AFL instead of looking after his own ****house club, whist the Magpies coaching staff and players are also a bunch of whingers and probably worst still, no-hoppers.

Collingwood = Crap

I am fully f*cken aware of the players that were out of the Swans line up. As I have said on every other Swans/Pies post, it is clear that Sydney have greater depth.

That is not to say that Collingwood's best 18 vs Sydney's best 18 would have produced the same result. That is complete bullsh*t and only goes to demonstrate a clear lack of understanding of the game on your behalf.

Collingwood still have the youngest list in the AFL. We will be exposed if we sustain injuries to players, especially in our key positions.

To say the likes of Tarrant, Fraser, Rocca & Molloy wouldn't have provided a better structure than Cummings (12 month lay-off), Davidson (18 year old) & Cloke (19 year old) is laughable. Same goes for the backline. But hey, we get critisised for making "excuses" when it is an obvious fact that could be seen by a blind man, simply because we go for Collingwood!!!

As for Cole, I was the one who mentioned him. And I said he was not a loss, but would be better value, when fully fit, than say a Freeborn who is a lazy hack! Don't worry about Richard Cole mate. Think of a cross between McLeod and Michael Long and you will get an idea of his future worth. Michael Long made an impact at a very young age and when Cole is fully over his elbow injury, he will be in our starting 18.

As for the Wakelin incident, Plugger deliberately hurt Wakelin because he was too slow to get to the ball. Nuff said and he will serve time. Incidentally, Lockett was beaten by Richardson for the rest of the day, so he has quite a bit to make up!

Abusive posts from people directed towards Collingwood are the norm here, but it is great to get one from a dude that frequents bars in Newtown and Oxford Street, wearing a t-shirt that says "The Family Tree Stops Here". In your case it is a good thing for humanity!!!

Just curious, with his bung elbow and all, have you seen him play a game of footy yet?

He is just believing the hype. Essendon was after Cole after all ... so he must be good. :p

Like Ramanauskas actually ;)

Surely he has based his opinions about the next "Michael Long" on more than just hype.

How about mock playing drills, have you seen him in any of those during trainning?

As usual I am relying on second hand information. It turns out though that the second hand information is probably the best available on the net, Colin Wiseby. I have seen a bit of video footage.

Col is a Collingwood supporter and attends 1 or two U18 games per week and writes detailed reports on all of the youngsters he considers will be drafted at each AFL Draft. Reports on him are a critical analysis, not hype!

Cole has only just started with the ball at training since his recovery from an elbow injury, so I can't comment on the quality of his skills yet.

Cole was touted as the Number 1 draft pick for last year's November draft, due to his performances in 2000. He was too young for the 2000 draft. His elbow injury and other factors put teams off taking him as a top 10 and for Collingwood to pick him up at 11 despite injury concerns is outstanding.

Cole is an outside playing winger with magnificent kicking skills and gets plenty of it. He is quicker than Speedy Gonzales!

PS: I never said anything about Cole being a star or a definite starter to our team. He was injured and I merely pointed out that he was unavailable in another thread! Talk about copping flak for nothing!!!

So foolish of me to misunderstand you.

End of discussion, I think.

P.S. Nobody is faster than Speedy Gonzales. Andale! Andale! YEEHAH!

Oh yeah, I forgot about this argument!

This was all referring to the Wizzer Cup and the game against Sydney and did stem from comments made in another thread. I was referring to Cole being a definite starting 18 player if fit for that game, given the poorness of our list. At this stage of the year, I ain't even thinking about the first round, as it is still about 4.5 weeks away!

As for wether or not Cole could get a game with our team at full strength is unknown and he will have to serve some time at Williamstown with the likes of McGough.

Hawthorn fans should remember when Cole was a last minute replacement for the Box Hill team in 2000 that he got 30 disposals on a senior AFL footballer.
GOALden Hawk did and he reckons he was brilliant!!!

nolsey, you got a first round draft pick for a third round pick. Finally something has gone right for your club!!!

Take Cole ahead of Junior though. Cole should have been top 10 (glad he wasn't!).
