Or lack of it still our problem.

We look so slow.

There is no defensive pressure from our forwards, mainly due to the fact that they are so slow. Grant, Hale, Edwards, McMahon just aren't quick enough to force defenders into error.

We are blessed with hard at it clearance players, but not enough that break the lines. The only two genuine speed players we have (Harvey & Wells) are too easily tagged out of the game. Simpson, Harris, Swallow, Green, Lower, Grant, Sinclair can get the ball, but when the ball is going the other way, opposition players go past them like they are standing still.

We have a need, a need for speed!!!!

Shinners doesn't agree that Speed is an issue but it certainly is part of the problem.

The other is our incredibly lame stoppage setups that allow teams multiple players behind the ball if we don't get the clearance. If we didn't have the likes of Harro and Swallow, we would have not made the finals such is the pain the setup inflicts.

I agree, ball carriers who can break the lines and turn defence into attack are match winners. Even better if they can kick a few goals each week and hit a leading target on the forward line.

Hopefully Smith will be able to complement Wells and Harvey next year. Urqhart has got a bit of speed hope to see him progress in the next couple of seasons
