Spida was interviewed last night on Fox Sports news. He indicated that he saw his role as playing in the forward line and spending some time in the ruck.

How do you think he would go in the forward line. I know he played up front for St.Kilda but cannot recall much of his play.

If he plays up forward it would allow Barry Hall to play more a true CHF role. I think the following forward line would be very difficult for other sides to match up on.

N Davis B Hall R O'Keefe

A Schnieder Spida M O'Loughlin

its all good to have spida in the 50 every so often, but i'd rather see him concentrate more on rucking.... cos i prefer to have:

MOL @ FF
Hall @ CHF

its been working very well so far so why change?

even tho bazz doesnt kick a massive number of goals all the time, he creates his fair share (roaming between 30 - 60 meters out from goal)

if spida was to join the forward line id prefer

spida @ FF
hall @ CHF
& hav mickey in the forward pocket.

I'm excited to see how he will go. He could be a huge asset for us.

He is very dangerous when he plays up forward, he is a better kick and mark than any of our other ruckmen.

yeh he's a very competent forward... just wonder how they going to settle on a lineup... i wouldnt want the players switching positions too often.

by the way, ur a swans supporter living in perth?? that's hardcore mate! haerherahera

I'm getting very excited. The forward line is going to look soo good... i've got chills up my spine. We sort of have a young side, excluding Bazza and MOL. A very young side. :) I like it...

Do you think he informed the Swans people before he made that interview. Just speaking from past experiences at the Club and also what happened to Spida last year...

yeh fwd line looks dangerous! im excited!

talkn about fwd line, im gona start a new thread about young McVeigh! =)

no disrespect to our defenders, but we jst need a huge gorilla type defender to hav the "complete' team.. =P even tho i say that, we did concede least goals last year.... awsome!!! but why couldnt we get MAL MIKE?? =(

He's slack. Don't you remember what he said at Brisbane, that he wanted some limited time training program? It's 100% commitment here or nothing.

If he was going to be playing in the forward line he wouldn't be telegraphing it now.

May guess is to drop back across HB to augment our run off style with a quick handpass or kick to a fast run off to space on the wing. If he can do this it will prevent the need for another tall back and make our backline even more potent and impenetrable.
