Got the game for free when i bought a new graphics card.
Never played a Splinter cell game before.
Pretty good so looks like i should of tried them a long time ago.
 
Loving it so far. Splinter cell fanboy from game 1 though. I like the three method options of passing levels, but always try the ghost ways first. The option of replaying missions is great and the side missions I've done so far have been pretty decent.

New voice for Sam bugs me a bit. Not a fan of having so many buyable upgrades either. And why won't they ever bring back the light and sound meters? Been caught a few times sneaking on the last guy and he calls all his boyz up. :(
 
Sound metre would be nice to have back but the lights on your gear act as that light metre, when it's glowing you're hidden in the dark.

The new voice takes some getting used to and i might be on.my own here but i actually like it and have grown to like it after a few hours playing.

Anyone played online yet and if so any good ?

You're on PC yeah?

I'm not that fussed about the voice. The missions feel like Splinter Cell the setup doesn't.
Enjoying it though.

I pretty much used 2-3 guns through the whole game, and they were always silenced weapons.

I only use silencers as well. Surely most do.
 
I Thought it was solid untill i almost finished the game it froze (I reset my ps3 and it corrupted my save file not once but twice) apart from that i thought it was a great game i hope they do another one

After Conviction i didn't think about another one being made and i wasn't really fussed if they didn't. I liked conviction but it didn't leave me wanting more but with Blacklist it's made me wanting a new one and i want ASAP :D.

Yeah it's worth buying. Big improvment on Conviction, if you've played that.

By allowing you to play three different styles it feels less like the kind of forced play that Conviction threw at you where it was pretty obvious how to get around each section. Very satisfying playing a level on Perfectionist and not getting spotted the whole way through. Gadgets are an improvement as well. It was a little too easy to get money to upgrade each weapon though, when you can just replay a level over and over to get enough cash.

Haven't played Spies vs Mercs online but that's supposed to be great as well. Probably should if only for the achievements, got all from the single player. Although I think most of the community was probably lost in the Great GTA V Purge.
