Ok

Ever since we brought our daughter home, she looks and laughs into thin air...and always in the same two places in the house: the lounge room doorway and the master bedroom. She will even look around the doorway as if playing ghost peekaboo

Anyway, a shadow walked past the door when I came home last week, and a shadow appeared on our baby monitor just yesterday

I’m not too fussed, even if there is something/one there. Baby likes them!


The reason I kinda believe is that 3 weeks before my sister was born, my great nan died. A full 5 years later, while at a great aunts place we’d never been before, she looked at a picture of great nan and said that’s the old lady who used to visit me in my room. Pretty cool if you ask me!

I’ve done it twice also. I’m a side sleeper so it seems to work out ok...except when I then discover I’ve been sleeping in it

My identical twin died at birth. I've always liked to think when I'm talking to myself in my own head maybe he's talking to me too kind of.

A few times I honestly think he's been there for me.

1. Driving 900km in a day (450km one way & back that night) and my phone wifi (playing tunes) disconnected for some reason, had never happened before... I don't know why but I'd usually get distracted by that, particularly after driving all day & being buggered, but for some reason I was telling myself "there's a rise coming up, I feel uneasy, slow down".... I did. I avoided a head on by about 1 metre when some numpty speeding past a truck came tearing past without their lights on!

2. One night I fell asleep on the couch & a txt message from a mate woke me up. I grabbed my phone & went to bed. I woke up suddenly a few hours later and the bedroom door had popped open. I got up to shut it & I swear I heard my phone go off down the hall. In my dazed state I thought I'd left it down in the loungeroom... As I walked down the hall I told myself to slow down...

"remember you took it to bed right? ... Wait, what's that?".

I noticed a light at the back study window.... Some prick was trying to break in!! I scared the shit out of the prick when I flicked on the back light & grabbed a knife from the kitchen and strolled out the back door saying the police had been called & I was ready to f**k the prick up!!

There's more but not really scary...

Did you think at the time that it could be your twin or did that kind of dawn on you later?
 
My bedroom is haunted

- When I was a child I could swear I used to see figures rising up from below the bed, but then I would look down and under the bed and nothing was there.

More recently:

- My old bed used to vibrate/shake.. just randomly the matress will start randomly shaking. My parents used to tell me it must be an Earthquake. Happens when I am wide awake so I am not dreaming, and its not from an earth quake or anything (ill often step onto the floorboards to check this)
- One night I saw a figure standing at the front of my bed when I was home alone... Scrambeled trying to find my find and put the torch on and no one was there.
- Same thing happened a few weeks back, I woke at 5 am and swear i saw a figure near my window, which ducked down when I woke.. Turned all lights on and no one or nothing was there.
- One night about a year or so ago, I felt something poke my back, it felt like a finger and I shit myself and span around, nothing there.


I still sleep in it though, nothings ever harmed me (yet)

My mum feels the same about her brother who passed...they weren't twins or anything and he died when he was 18 but she insists that his presence is around her at times.

Apparently I was a very very quiet newborn. Slept more than the others (due to a heart condition). I hadn't made a peep all morning then proceeded to wail & cry exactly (I mean to the exact minute) from the start to the end of my brothers funeral service then go back to normal quiet me after.

N.b. Only mum went to the burial, we didn't go & were ages away from it.
 
Not as spooky or as dramatic as the above but here's mine.

A couple of years ago, I had a dream that I moved into a house that I'd never seen in real life up to that dream.

I remember the house being on an angle and I remember the carport that was next to it pretty straight.

I was on a bus going somewhere and, along the way, I passed that same house.
On the same angle and the carport was not only straight but it was the same distance away from the house as the dream.

Both driveways weren't paved and there was no fence to either backyard.

One of the freakiest stories I've heard (not including ones I've sought out) was from an mate from high school (this story is from about 2010/2011) He worked part time at a retail store (which I won't name) . Years before, a little girl died in there. Ever since, one of the phones in the back office were off limits because whenever someone picked it up, they would hear the sound of a little girl giggling. It wasn't a prank call because they didn't have to answer for it to happen. It wasn't a technical issue because they had it checked out. It was just weird, freaky shit.

My mate said he had a listen just to see if it was true or just rumour.. Said he had trouble sleeping since.

I'd honestly never seen that house up til that bus trip.

Hadn't even been down that patch of road until that trip.
