i made a duck of seven overs once, i was a good batsmen but i hated getting out so id rather bat and not score then get out

Ditto. My highest score in cricket, playing for Hope Valley U/13's, 48* from about 45 overs. There was a young guy who was bowling toppie's, pitching them just short of a length outside off, fair amount of bounce. I just let ball after ball go through to the wee keeper. :thumbsu:

Do you know what pissed me of with that game. I copped alot of crap from the ********s that scored 50s but they were batting at number 5 and 6, if those cokheads opened and faced the decent bowlers they wouldve got out straight away. Oh well us defensive players dont get recognision for our hard work.

In 1999 I was a member of the South Australian u/12 state football team that won the National Championships in Canberra. The final score of the championship game was SA 3. 0. 18. def. Victoria 2. 5. 17. We did not score after half time and I kicked South Australia's last goal.

The SA team included

Shannon Hurn (West Coast)
Ed Lower (North Melbourne)
Nick Lower (Port Adelaide)
Toby Stribling (Fremantle 2005-6)
Andrew McIntyre (Adelaide)
Angus Monfries (Essendon)
Tom Rischbieth (Port Adelaide 2006 rookie list)
Dallan Fitzgerald (Sturt league/reserves)

Travis Cloke was playing for Victoria.

I once opened the batting after a side had made all out for 90 in 35 overs in a 2 dayer and batted for 105 overs to make 21 n.o with us all out for 42 (12 extras) then in the 2nd dig after they made 100 in 9.3 overs, made 68no off 30 odd balls and just fell short of a out right win

I have a act, and a defence no inbetween.

Don't know if this is a rare thing, but I played two seasons in the ressies for one club and only had one game in the seniors when I was 'dropped' so they could load the ressies up with senior players so they could make the finals. [No possies for that game. :( I was forward pocket and trying to get away from my opponent as you do - but he just looked over his shoulder at me in contempt and went off to get a kick. :o]

But I did get a B&F vote in one game for them and one for another club [ressies too].

The greatest sporting achivement was achieved by the Beaumaris 2nds, playing in 15 Division 2. We won our fist game today after the team we beat had beaten us by 130 points last time we played them. We won by 40 points today. The team we beat was St Kilda city.

Also we tend to lose every other game by 100 points or more. If you don't believe me go to http://www.msjfl.com.au/ladders/ and scroll down to Under 15 division 2. Look at our percentage. The win we got was the bye.
