In perth yesterday it reached 40.3. Today it would have been about 32 @ 6am.
Pretty cool here in Melbourne. I just wish it would rain a hell of a lot more.

it's still friken hot in perth. 
Don't get me wrong, I don't like the cold, growing up in NW Victoria I sweltered through the summers and I love the heat. But Victoria needs all the rain we can get to fill our reservoirs heading into summer.Originally posted by lioness22

Yeah I know, it's kind of a catch 22 situation, we need the rain but we also need some damn sunshine.

I can't believe what the weather in Melbourne is going to be like over the next few days. Looks like i will be hitting the beach on friday. It's going to be in the early 30's. About time we got some good weather.

Not totally true - We don't get extended periods of heat like some other places but it can get damn hot here. I lived in North Queensland for a year and I've felt hotter in Melbourne than I ever did there.

yeh its a bit that way!! its cool, then warmish then BOILING!! but its not usually this hot at this time of year! decembers not even that hot here. only jan/feb and probably march are the hot months.
anyway im not complaining! i love hot weather!

Inland it does get scorching in summer, I remember it hitting 50 degrees one day when I was growing up in the northwest of Vic. Even so, it does get hot in Melbourne. Its not uncommon for it to get over 40+ degrees in summer and 35+ degree days occur quite frequently. Just because its cold here in winter doesn't mean it doesn't get hot in summer.
