I've broken our list into 3 parts, i've done it quite hurriedly so if i've really made a bad oversight i apologise.
It's open for debate of course.
Most of the guys in C Grade are only there for their lack of AFL games, for them, except Corrie and L Brown it's not a rating on their skill or potential, just what they've done so far.

Hope that makes sense.

A Grade/Certainties when fit: will look for 19-25 games from these guys
Davis, Didak, Maxwell, Medhurst, O'Brien, Pendlebury, Thomas, N Brown, Clarke, Rocca, Lockyer, Fraser, Cloke, Prestigiacomo, Swan, Shaw

B Grade/Probables when fit: 13-19 games for these guys
Rusling, McCarthy, Goldsack, Anthony, O'Bree, Cox, Wood, Reid, Wellingham, Johnson, Stanley, Cook, Macaffer, Dawes, Dick, Toovey, Bryan

C Grade/Possibles when fit: 0-13 games from these guys, for the rookies anything over this amount is a huge bonus to player and club.
Corrie, L Brown, Blight, Rounds, Reed, Keefe, Dyas, Sidebottom, Beams, Macaffer, Barham, Francis, Blair, Bennell, Thoolen.

Players that may slide from A Grade: Rocca - if he misses a chunk of the year (especially finals) it could just about be curtains. Throw prestigiacomo in the same boat.

Players that may climb from B Grade: McCarthy, Anthony, Dawes and Cox.

Players that may drop from B Grade: Rusling (same as Rocca and Presti), O'Bree - if the youngsters Beams, Sidebottom really come on and are upto it from day 1 then it could signal the end for Cheesy, im not writing him off yet though. Johnson (same as O'Bree). Wood and Bryan are both in competition and really need to have a big year each. Whoever has the weaker year could find themselves in trouble. Especially if Keefe's development is really fastracked.

Players that could climb from C Grade: all of the 1st year players / rookies, could they actually go from C Grade (based on career afl games) straight to A Grade??

Enjoy

You have 16 players playing a minimum of 19 games and 17 players playing a minimum of 13 games. If we play 2 finals games this year that would be 24 games. We would need to play 1 player from group C once or twice and that would be it.

Looks great for our depth!

i understand your analysis of my analysis, but mine was done with a large focus on "when all fit we would hope to get xx games out of them"
obviously injuries, suspension, off field and form could be reasons for those things not coming true but those numbers were my suggestions in terms of games per player.

cheers

O'Bree into A Grade, L.Brown and Barham into B Grade and Stanley into C Grade. I believe that O'Bree is our only player of his type with experience, I believe L.Brown will be used for matchups, Barham's speed will be regularly utilised and Stanley has been fit and in form for a long time and has been at best a possiblity to play. Stanners could climb out of C but it seems someone, possibly Mick, has him pegged as a poor player.

Changed the defenitions a bit. I think we have a core of 18 players who excluding injury or a complete 180 in form play pretty much every game.

We then have a very large group of fringe players who have shown they can play a role and will be looking to break into the side and cement a spot across the course of the season. These guys will be fighting it out for the other four spots or for first crack at a spot if there is an injury.

Beyond that we have depth and development players. Guys who can play a role if there is an injury or who will be trying to push into the B group across the course of the season.

Is there another Beams I don't know about??
