Oh god

I feel a thumping coming.

Not neccesarily, look at who they have selected, they will probably have someone like Merrett or Spaanderman at CHF so Hall would be a good matchup. Someone has to step up at CHB, won't do us any harm to give Hall a shot at it.

No Morrison in their either, I hope Hall is given the chance at CHB.

I seriously hope not. I'd rather Hall play around the ground then play as a key position, he's height and athletism might help us around the ground whereas his defensive attributes aren't really gonna serve us too well.

I still have some faith that the defensive side of his game will develop. Someone has to step up as a tall defender whilst Schulz is out...

No Jackson? Are we reting him or is he injured? No Meyer?

All i hope for is no injuries to any of our players and the players like: Tuck, Hall, Pettifer, Krakouer, Deledio and Tambling play very good games :)

hasnt been in any pre season matches so far i dont think?

Not sure how he went, just when reading some comments on the game his name came up. I'd imagine the rucks would have been constantly rotated due to the heat.

thanks mate, hopefully he'll be good for us in the season proper, thats all that really matters. ;)

I wouldn't go that far John, but I do like Stafford as a player, think he is very useful around the ground, can drop back to help, can kick a lot of goals up forward. These days you need your ruck to be able to do that, pure tap ruckmen who aren't much use around the ground are very quickly being taken out of the game. I still hold out hope that Knobel will improve around the ground, he'll never be brilliant but we need him to be better than he is.

i was thinkin more off staff in bursts as the FF or playing in the fwd 50 and doing the ruck in the front half, knobel and simmonds to do ruck work from center to back half

Thats a great idea i reckon. It would work too, and Staff would surely win most of the taps and if he didnt we would have either Simmonds/Knobel in the centre aiting for the rushed kick :)
