I was just wondering what its capacity is, as there has been recent changes to the seating etc. They held 80,000 there for the union and there were still areas under construction.

They are still making changes to the stadium and i think the capacity will be around 84000. They had extra seats in for last nights union.
I'm not sure isn't the stadium going to have a retractablle roof or something?

I remember there was a topic on S.A. not that long ago where everyone bagged the hell out of it.
It used to seat 110,000, but I think they're taking away those stands at the side. So it will only hold about 80-90,000.

Did a tour of it last week. After renovations it will hold approx 80,000 people. Apparently, all the seating will be undercover but the playing arena won't be. Sounds pretty silly if you ask me. I was actually surprised at how small it was..
