Stafford report

Has anyone heard of or seen a replay of this incident? Didn't seem like much at the time on tv - but there were no replays.

Hopefully there was nothing in it as Stafford played a great game and I like the look of the whole side more when he's in.

The WCE player didn't seem too inconvenienced.

It doesn't look good .. he was behind Cox at the throw-in, jostling for position and he appeared to stomp on Cox's back leg (quite viciously I may add) .. Not sure if the video will show it conclusivley .. If the umpire's adamant that's what he saw, Stafford will go for a couple you'd think..

What was the reason given for Ray's late withdrawl? i hope it's only minor as i think Staff might get suspended based on what i've heard.

the Woy Woy Boy has a strained abductor...one report says he is in doubt for next week...richo will be in line for the West BD game...so if Staff gets rubbed out...pray for Hall to pass his test.

If he can't ; with Holland and Homey out...that leaves us 4 talls to tackle St.Kilda ...a must win game.

Hudson kicked 5 for port...newman, hyde played well.

Hmmm, as long as the wording of the report isn't changed, Stafford can do all the stompng he likes because he has been reported for kneeing Cox.

I watched the replay when I got home but was still none the wiser!

Satfford Report

He was reported for Misconduct, in that he kneed Cox in the Buttocks, jostling for ruck position at the throw-in.

I don't think there is much in it, however the tribunal has been giving at least one week for really, really soft indescretions

Good Luck to The Staff we can't afford to lose him even for a week.

It doesn't look to bad but could still get a week I hope he gets cleared it would be really unlucky if Stafford got suspended after his first game back,at least if he does get suspended we only have the Saints this week.

I saw a replay of it last night and couldn't believe he got reported for it! I am pleased that the tribunal saw common sense in the fact that Australian Rules is a contact sport and that Stafford's actions were acceptable.

It does, however, highlight an inconsistency. I saw the Akermanis incident for the first time on Monday night. I am appalled that he was suspended for that minor contact. At worst it warranted a reprimand, fine or even a suspended sentence. It was certainly no worse than Staffords.
