We headed out early on Sunday to Adelaide for the final day of the Tour with three kids in tow. Weather was perfect, atmosphere was pretty good and we were hoping to grab a signature from Cadel. Chasing Cadel down would be like chasing Skase, he is one hard sun of gun to catch. No luck with the signature but not through the lack of trying 
Maybe next year!
We then met the family of Matt Goss (Team Columbia HTC), really lovely folks from Tasmania, they also helped us try and get Cadel’s signature without any luck. We then got to meet Matt Goss briefly and wish him luck. Through the Goss family we met Wes Sulzberger (Francaise des Jeux); my kids grabbed his signature and other members of the Francaise des Jeux team. What a genuine nice guy Wes is, he stayed talking to the Goss family for ages.
The race started and Wes is in the break away group, (you should’ve heard my kids excited about that). It was really good seeing Wes in a possible upset maybe even taking out the Tour. Sore throats by all in my household today
