There is nothing wrong with staker. his job has never been to get posessions. its either to stop a player or chip in with a goal or two. and he does that. way too much looked into his no. of posessions. He is a victim of never being able to settle in a position.

I think its because every person they trade for has a spot available on there team that they probably didnt at the club they were traded from. I dont think they will have any interest in Staker because he is surplus to Sydneys needs.

They have a lot of promising young mids coming in

I have the utmost respect for Brett Kirk and he is one hell of a leader, but this is way too simplistic, and I'll give two names that demonstrate why....

1. Barry Hall - even Kirk can't make gold out of crap
2. John Worsfold - could not be held in higher regard at our club for leadership. If Worsfold can't inspire Staker......

I'm not saying it's impossible, I just don't think it's that simple. He may well go and play better footy elsewhere, but it's more likely to be because a change of mindset with 'last chance syndrome' or perhaps just finding a team that has a role that suits him.
