anyone know how much he is paying for the brownlow this year? playing for such a poor side, haha just stirring, could hinder him a bit but he catches the eye and has class written all over him. also has he polled well in the past?

18 points in 3 years which isn't too bad considering he is only 21 but I have a feeling he will have his biggest year to date. ATM he at $151 for brownlow

Thats worth having a 20 on, but really he's no chance whats so ever to win a Brownlow. Theres many others in the league who have a chance to get it before him.
It makes you think too how we havn't really got any player (midfielder) atm who has showed that kind of 'Brownlow' form in the last few years.

I think the key for him is to stay injury/niggle free. Last year his ankle problems really effected his run and he polled only 5 votes which was less than 05/06. if he can do that i wouldn't be surprised with a top ten finish

He'd have to start being the star of the team week-in week-out and we would have to be winning all the time.
I reckon he's more of a team player..(not flashy)..but he's a very good one.

I think alot of people are expecting him to become our star this year and if he can produce stats like he did against WCE in preseason (36 touches 4 goals) he will go close, even if we pull out only 9-11 wins.
I don't think Stanton will do that well for the Brownlow, he's more of an outside player who is pretty much a ball magnet who rarely would get their hands dirty in a center clearance.
I'd love to see him do more in the middle like breaking through a pack or running the whole length of the field with the ball running down everyone in his path, from last year it seems he's not really capable of that kind of stuff, he's still a great player who is very talented but I reaken we still have more things to see of him before he's a Brownlow contender of any sort.

If Stanton wants to win the Brownlow I think he has to improve his foot skills a little bit.

Maybe matey, no doubting the boy has un-tapped talent, t'was why I picked him. But in a winning side though he should have really put his stamp on it and made them pay. ??
People on here are very good at seeing what happens in a game maybe, but not so great seeing what doesn't happen. Just because a player isn't the star of the game doesn't always mean they were shocking. Stanton didn't get much of the footy, but he wasn't beaten.

When you consider Stanton usually gets around 20-25 possies and Rawlings is a atagger, yet can win the ball, yes he got smashed and was very poor and lazy.
