Some of you may be aware of the new arcade machine from Bandai Namco.

It's a projector type curved screen which blasts air while playing. There are five levels Yavin, Hoth, Endor, and two Death Star levels.

I finally got to play this last night and it was amazingly fun. Playtime in Highpoint finally got a machine (they are 100K machines).

Have a look at the videos below. Anyone else have a chance to play one? This is like an old school Sega "on-rails" shooter.

I'm sure it'd be great fun to play for a few minutes, which is generally what you do at an arcade, but let's be realistic:

1) It's a completely on rails game where all you do is basically aim and shoot at people, seemingly no flying involved really
2) The graphics are worse than the recent Battlefront, and it definitely wouldn't cost 100k to buy the game, a huge curved TV and some joystick peripherals
3) You're playing the Battle of Hoth in a snowspeeder and... you shoot down Tie Fighters and Speeder bikes??? Not an AT-AT and tow cable in sight.

Generally most arcade games and made to be "quick fun". So not really sure what you are trying to get at? Agree with the graphics, would have expected better for a 2014 game.

Machine does cost 100K. Even a quick google search tells you that.

Played one of these in the States earlier in the year. Good bit of fun, not exactly a lot of depth to them though. $100,000 seems beyond nuts.

that article says they start at 35k but some bs premium edition with your name in the credits costs 100k. thanks, you made me click an IGN link, i haven't done that since i was a sucker!!!
